Flat Belt Conveyors are made in two types. 1. Roller bed & 2. Skirt plate In the former case, the Conveyor Belt is supported by a set of idle rollers, whereas in later case metallic plate supports the belt. Roller bed is used in heavier load conveying applications for loads 100 kgs & above. This ensures a line contact of belt & roller resulting in less wear and tear of Conveyor Belt.
